Kevin Brown is the Award-winning author of Kindred Spirits, and Stupid Sh*t We Did in College… (and Stuff). He is a writer, actor, designer, and nomad.

I've been writing seriously for the past 9 or 10 years. I published my first book in 2015 about my time in college at Tulane, and my second in 2018. My book, Kindred Spirits: Slaves * Seminoles * Freedom * War, (adapted from a screenplay I had written) was a FINALIST at the National Indie Excellence Awards, WINNER at the Best Indie Book Awards, and GRAND PRIZE WINNER at the Indie Diamond Book Awards.

My articles on Medium range from politics, race, relationships, sports, and writing, to current events.

I'm also a nomad, having lived in 8 states and three foreign countries and visited countless others. My travels have given me a host of visual, cultural, and geographic references to which I regularly turn for ideas.
