I once had a boss say to me "Remind me where you went to college again." When I told her I had attended Tulane University (and graduated with a masters degree in architecture), she said, "You played basketball, right?" No b**ch, did I stutter? Her implication being the only way I could have attended was via a basketball scholarship and not academic merit.
